Patient-Centered Care
This article discuses the manner in which the patient centered health homes have been developed since the 1960s when it was began. The major basics of PCMH is care that is accessible, coordinated, comprehensive, family centered, compassionate, continuous and culturally effective. This kind of care is rare to find in most medical homes and therefore a PCMH has been more acceptable as the best place for people to feel at home when they are getting medical care since it does not just make a person feel like they are getting medical care, rather it is more than just getting medicines and other important health care (Ortiz, 2020). This is because these homes are founded and run by nurses whose main goal is to help the people who are sick to get better. Therefore, a PCMH is the most desired kind of home for every sick person as they go an extra mile to provide care, support and a home feeling that is not generally found in most health facilities.
The reason I chose this article is because it is a very clear article which discusses something that is close to my heart and my nursing prospective. PCMH has always been my dream and I am hoping to work in a PCMH one day.
