Question Description

I’m working on a anthropology discussion question and need a sample draft to help me study.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, it has been clear to see some populations are more affected than others.

The CDC provides this data as of November 2020:

“Black or African-American non-Hispanic persons” are 2.6x more likely to get the disease and 4.7x more likely to be hospitalized than “White non-Hispanic persons.” They are 2.1x more likely to die from Covid.

“Latinx or Hispanic persons” are 2.8x more likely to get the disease and 4.6x more likely to be hospitalized than “White non-Hispanic persons.” They are 1.1x more likely to die from Covid.

“American Indian or Alaska Native non-Hispanic persons” are 2.8x more likely to get the disease and 5.3x more likely to be hospitalized than “White non-Hispanic persons.” They are 1.4x more likely to die from Covid.

For this assignment, provide 3 paragraphs (minimum 5 strong sentences each) that explains this data from an anthropological perspective. You may consider discussing diseases of poverty, structural racism, personal racism, or other concepts from the readings. Each paragraph must contain one bold-faced anthropological concept. Outside research is unnecessary for this assignment.
