As most traditional-aged college students today have grown up “digitally native,” you are likely well acquainted and comfortable with social media such as Instagram, Snapchat, Facebook, and Twitter; and you regularly shop online for both physical and digital products. But how much do you see your life as a consumer connected between the real world and the online world?
Discuss your thoughts about which companies you may have a connection with both on- and offline and how well that works. That could include things like shopping both in-store and at their website; using apps on your phone to check-in, price check, purchase, or otherwise shop in-store; being a fan or follower on social media to find out about new products, sales or coupons, or otherwise enhance your other offline connections with the brand; etc. How are the brand’s communications similar and different when they connect with you in-person versus when there is an email, social media post, or website between you?

how to integrate online and offline marketing or logistics
having a cohesive brand image in-store and online
how to get in-store customers to follow your social media or blog or sign up for your newsletter
how are apps changing how customers interact with brands and stores
should brick-and-mortar always add a digital presence
should digital native brands add a brick-and-mortar presence

Discuss your experiences in real life. How have you observed businesses, brands, or even just other people dealing with delivering good and bad news? Or perhaps having bad news, but attempting to “sugar coat” it as good news? Have you had salespeople attempt to “lowball” or “bait-and-switch” in your experience?
Remember to reference another source discussing something around this topic that you find interesting or useful. Don’t forget to properly cite both in-text and as a reference in APA format.
